DESCRIPTION:Creative ways we can involve school children to repurpose trash into useful items and art\n\n\n\nLoretta Brown from the Center for Alaska Coastal Studies will talk about creating large-scale awareness art sculptures from trash.\n\nArtists Craig Cheledinas and Mercedes Culliton\, along with students from the Effie Kokrine Early College Charter School collected and transformed trash from Deadman Slough to create a unique sculpture that will be on display at the Morris Thompson Center throughout May.
