The American Legion Auxiliary and the Sons of The American Legion will also hold their state conventions.  This event draws 250 delegates from around the state.  \nWedgewood Resort will be the convention site\, with other activities around town.  \nThe American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic\, war-time veterans? organization\, and it has become a community-service organization of today.  \nLegion Family programs include A.L. Baseball\, Boys & Girls State/Nation\, National Oratorical Contest\, and Legion Riders.
