SUMMARY:NASHRM: Conducting Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Investigations
DESCRIPTION:When there is an allegation of employee misconduct involving EEO issues\, are you confident that you know what to do and how to resolve the matter? There are standards unique to EEO investigations and being aware of them will help you address the issues in an efficient and effective manner. \nThe focus of this session is on conducting internal investigations. If time permits\, concluding remarks will include how these concepts apply if there is an external complaint filed with an administrative agency. \nAnne Sakumoto\, SHRM-CP\, PHR has over 34 years of human resources experience\, focusing on employee relations\, equal employment opportunity\, affirmative action and employee training & development. She was an investigator with the Anchorage Equal Rights Commission and the Alaska State Commission for Human Rights before joining a private sector employer overseeing employee relations and training and development. In addition to local and state government experience\, Anne worked at the University of Alaska and in the banking and oil transportation industries. \n\n \n\nAnne has a BBA in Management from the University of Hawaii at Manoa\, an MBA from the University of Alaska Anchorage and is certified through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).
