DESCRIPTION:12th Annual NAMI Fairbanks Fourth Friday Art Show and Silent Auction\n\nHeld at the JP Jones Center\, 2400 Rickert St\, Fairbanks\n\nFriday\, September 27th\, 5-8 pm\n\nRefreshments\, music\, and plenty of art - No admission charge\n\n \n\nOur Silent Auction has lots of gift certificates\, artwork\, fabulous cakes\, pies and goodies\, and all sorts of wonderful items donated by the Fairbanks community! New this year is a raffle for 2 Round-trip Alaska Airlines tickets. For over 40 years\, NAMI Fairbanks has provided advocacy\, education\, support\, and public awareness so that individuals and families affected by mental illness can live healthy\, fulfilling lives supported by a community that cares.\n\n \n\nFunds raised from this annual major fundraiser will be used to help NAMI continue to provide its programs and services free of charge to participants. Some of its programs and services include: NAMI Helpline\, Support group meetings\, education courses\, advocacy\, community presentations\, scholarships at UAF\, and lending library. \n\n \n\nNAMI Fairbanks collaborates with mental health and law enforcement agencies to offer Crisis Intervention Team academy for law enforcement. It is a partner agency with the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority to submit behavioral health minigrants for Trust beneficiaries. It serves local youth and young adults in middle/high schools as well as at UAF to offer mental health resources such as NAMI Ending the Silence for Students\, Parents\, and Staff and NAMI on Campus clubs.\n\n \n\nNAMI Fairbanks charges no fees for services or programs\, and is supported by donations from our wonderful community.\n\n \n\nNAMI Fairbanks is located at 3504 Industrial Avenue\, Suite #102\, Fairbanks\, Alaska\, phone (907) 456-4704.
