SUMMARY:GML: Keep Alaska Competitive Coalition
DESCRIPTION:Keep Alaska Competitive\n\npresented by: Mark Hamilton\, steering committee member \n\nKeep Alaska Competitive Vote No on 1\, is a broad-cross section of Alaska Native corporations\, businesses\, unions\, civic leaders and individuals who deeply share an interest in the economic welfare of Alaska. The new group was formed by members of the Make Alaska Competitive Coalition (MACC)\, which came together three years ago to advocate for oil tax reform. We thought our mission was complete when the legislature passed and the governor signed oil tax reform legislation. But opponents of tax reform collected enough signatures to force Alaskans to vote on the new law during the 2014 primary election. Join us to learn more about the coalition's efforts. \n\n\n\n5-minute spotlight:\n\nEmployer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR)\n\n\n\nESGR will recognize local employers who have been nominated for their outstanding support of their Alaska National Guard & Reserve employees. The spotlight will also highlight the ESGR Bosslift to Guam.
