SUMMARY:FRESH WATER FOR THE PHILIPPINES
DESCRIPTION:The Philippines need our help!  On October 15\, they were hit by an earthquake and just recently by a typhoon.  Thousands are dead.  Millions have been affected.  Their greatest need is fresh water.  \n\n \n\n We are holding a fundraiser dinner and silent auction on December 10 at 6 p.m. at The Alpine Lodge in the Glacier Room.  Yvonne Temple\, the owner of The Alpine Lodge has donated the use of the room and wait staff for the dinner.  The cost per plate is $50.  The cuisine will be Filipino Cuisine.  The money raised will be used to buy Purification Tablets for water treatment (Puritab) to make contaminated water suitable for drinking and cooking.\n\n \n\n There are several ways you can help with this relief project.  You can buy a ticket to the dinner and participate in the silent auction.  You can donate an item or service from your business for the silent auction.  You can cook or bake a gourmet dish for the silent auction.  You can donate funds.  The Fairbanks Host Lions Club has graciously offered to sponsor this relief project.  You can send a check to the Fairbanks Host Lions Club\, P.O. Box 71908\, Fairbanks\, AK 99717. Denali State Bank account # 101-6633.  Make the check payable to the Fairbanks Host Lions Club and write "Philippines fundraising" in the memo.\n\n \n\n Tickets for the dinner are available at the front desk of the Alpine Lodge.
