This course will be held at The Music Room Downtown\, Tuesday\, July 16 from 5:30-7:30PM. The workshop will cover the break dancing basics\; top rock\, foot work and freezes along with some basic moves: side step\, indie step\, back step\, corkscrew\, knee drop with more advanced moves as time and level permits. We welcome all skill levels. Registration is $35 and you can register online at www.fsaf.org. \n\n \n\n Canned Funk is the Fairbanks-based b-boy crew formed in 2002 by a group of friends attending Lathrop High School and has been heavily involved with the Alaska b-boy scene ever since. In addition to competing in various dance competitions in and out of Alaska\, Canned Funk also teach within the state\; in Fairbanks and in rural villages through their involvement with the 4-H program at UAF\, sharing their knowledge of b-boying with others. The Festival is excited to have this dynamic dance crew on staff bringing the funk to the Fairbanks community.\n\n \n\n This year\, due to renovations at the University of Alaska Fairbanks\, the Festival is coming to the community and will be located at over 30 venues around town.
