DESCRIPTION:The Early Childhood Development Commission recognizes local employers who help their employees balance work and family responsibilities.\n\nFamily friendly workplaces are employers who recognize the importance of parents spending time with their children. The kids benefit because they have that important time with their parents. The parents benefit because they don't feel the pressure of balancing home and work.\n\nThe employers benefit because their employees are happier  a loyalty is built. It reduces turnover and employee absences and these parents are more productive.\n\nAll nominees receive a nomination certificate and door decal.\n\n \n\nThe awards are given to several categories listed below:\n\n \n\nPublic sector\, 1-25 employees\n\nPublic sector\, 25 plus employees\n\n \n\nNon-Profit category\, 1 to 25 employees\n\nNon-profit\, 25 plus employees\n\n \n\nCompany/business\, 1- 25 employees\n\nCompany/business\, 25 plus employees
