She earned her BFA in Documentary Photography from Cornish College and an MFA in Multi-media painting from Johnson State College\, in conjunction with the Vermont Studio Center. She is a Kreielsheimer Scholar\, and is the recipient of a Rasmuson Project Award\, and a Connie Boochever Artist Fellowship from the Alaska Arts and Culture Foundation\, administered by the Alaska State Council on the Arts. As an independent curator\, she creates multi-media themed exhibits to inspire her fellow artists. She is also the founding member of Fairbanks Sketchers\, a local drawing group. When not making art\, Elizabeth volunteers in feline rescue and tends to a growing herd of orchids.
