DESCRIPTION:Join Fairbanks Arts Association in the Bear Gallery for our May exhibitions: TouchStone by Klara Maisch and The Ten-Oh-Two by Megan Perra and Caitlin Scarano. TouchStone comprises 100 paintings of a personal collection of handheld-sized rocks from all over Alaska\, including the Wrangells\, Brooks Range\, and Alaska Range and places closer to Fairbanks such as the Chena River\, White Mountains\, and Yukon River. The Ten-Oh-Two is an artistic collaboration that explores the ecology of the Porcupine Caribou Herd in ANWR's 1002 area through visual art paired with poetry. The collaboration\, between artist Megan Perra and writer Caitlin Scarano\, takes audiences through a year in the life of the herd. These exhibitions are on view in the Bear Gallery from May\, 7 28. The gallery is open Monday Friday\, 12 6 p.m. Visitors are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing\, and the gallery currently has a 10-guest limit in place. \n\n\nFor more information about the artists and their exhibitions\, visit fairbanksarts.org.
