DESCRIPTION:Calling all Volunteers! \nDo you have some time to spare and a willingness to help others in need? We need your help in supporting the many members of our community with Comfort Quilts. No sewing experience is necessary and all ages are welcome! (youth under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.) This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to quilt or hone your piecing skills. \n\nWe will be sewing comfort quilts of compassion and hope that will be distributed to various agencies in the Fairbanks and North Pole areas. Many of the recipients have lost everything\, have no one special in their lives\, or just need a warm quilt to comfort them during a crisis. Please volunteer and help us give them something warm they can snuggle under during their time of need. Fabrics will be provided to participants. Northern Threads is providing the classroom area as a workspace for preparing and sewing the comfort quilt projects. \n\nReservations: We have eight spaces available for volunteers wanting to help. Just give us a call at 455-0299 ahead of time to make sure we have space available for you. \n\nWhat to Bring: \nSewing Machine\nBasic Sewing Supplies\nBrown bag lunch\, something to drink and lots of energy!
