DESCRIPTION:Professor Willy  streng\, senior researcher and chairman of the research institute Ocean Futures in Oslo\, Norway\, and affiliated faculty member at the University of Alaska Fairbanks\, will present a free public lecture titled "The New Geopolitics of the Arctic" on Wednesday\, April 16\, in the Murie Building auditorium on the Fairbanks Campus.  streng will lecture in several classes on public policy\, Russian politics\, world history\, and circumpolar northern history.  streng's visit was made possible with support from the College of Liberal Arts dean's office and chancellor.
