DESCRIPTION:The City of Fairbanks will be celebrating the 250th anniversary of the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence on July 8th from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. We will join with communities across the nation with a reading of the Declaration of Independence at 2:00 pm Alaska time. There will be food trucks\, games\, face painting\, bouncy house\, Fairbanks Children's Museum exhibits\, vehicle displays\, tours\, an Air Force flyover\, a dunk tank\, drone demonstrations\, and lots more. This event is free and open to the public. Please come join us!\n\n \n\n\n	Opening Remarks\n	11:00am: City Hall Tour - A tour of the historic City Hall.\n	Noon: City Hall Behind the Scenes Tour - A tour of City Hall the public never sees. This tour is limited to 8 people. Participants must be at least 15 years old\, able to climb a ladder\, and navigate spaces with low ceilings. Participants need to wear closed toe shoes and clothes that can get dusty.\n	1:00pm: Sergeant Allen Brandt Police Station and Emergency Communications Center Tour - A tour of one of the more secure buildings in the community.\n	1:00pm: Warren B. Cummings Fire Station Headquarters Tour - An in-depth tour of the Fire Station 1.\n	2:00pm: Air Force Flyover - A flyover from the 356th Fighter Squadron!\n	2:00pm: Declaration of Independence - We will join communities across the nation in simultaneously reading the Declaration of Independence to mark the 250th anniversary of the first time it was read in public.\n	3:00pm City Hall Tour - A tour of the historic City Hall.\n	3:00pm: Sergeant Allen Brandt Police Station and Emergency Communications Center Tour - A tour of one of the more secure buildings in the community.\n	3:00pm: Warren B.
