DESCRIPTION:About 100 people are expected to attend the AGU Chapman Conference on Magnetosphere Dynamics to be held Sept. 27 to Oct. 2 at the Westmark Fairbanks Hotel and Conference Center. The conference will focus on Earth's magnetospheric dynamics dynamics of geomagnetic storm and substorm\; the roles of reconnection in Earth?s magnetosphere\; and the new results of the MMS mission. Three tutorial lectures are planned: physics of magnetic reconnections\, solar flares and coronal mass ejections\, and comparative planetary magnetospheres. Chapman Conferences is a program by the American Geophysical Union. Joseph Khan and Peter Delamere\, both of the Geophysical Institute\, are conveners.
