DESCRIPTION:The 2013 Rural Energy Conference will be held in Anchorage\, Alaska at the Sheraton Hotel downtown on April 29\, 2013 - May 1\, 2013. Special rates are being offered for conference attendees at the hotel including accommodation\, parking and spa services.\n\n	The 2011 conference in Juneau attracted over 500 people from over 100 villages and towns in Alaska and beyond. The Alaska Rural Energy Conference is a three day event offering a large variety of technical sessions covering new and ongoing energy projects in Alaska\, as well as new technologies and needs for Alaska's remote communities.\n\n	Building on the growing success\, the Alaska Energy Authority and the Alaska Center for Energy and Power have joined forces again to organize and sponsor the 8th annual Alaska Rural Energy Conference.
