JOB OPENING - ADVOCACY AND COMMITEE COORDINATOR
The Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking an organized and professional individual to become a member of our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills, as this position is heavily focused on working with our committees and preparing our members to engage in the advocacy process and create the best environment possible for businesses to survive and thrive in the greater Fairbanks area. You will also be responsible for planning political forums and the annual Juneau Fly-In, as well as providing guidance and/or research for Chamber Leadership on issues of concern to our membership. This position will provide ample opportunities for you to demonstrate your skills, abilities, and specific talents.
To be successful in this role, organization; ability to multi-task; and the desire to meet the needs of many internal customers are essential. You also must work well in a small team environment where we are all depended on to support one other.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of prior experience such as legislative staff, advocacy-related position, or committee coordinator, or a bachelor’s degree in a business, public policy, or political science field.
