• ADVOCACY AND COMMITTEE COORDINATOR ADVOCACY AND COMMITTEE COORDINATOR

    The Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce (GFCC) is currently seeking an organized and professional individual to become a member of our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills, as this role will be heavily focused on working with our committees and preparing our members to engage in the advocacy process in an effort to affect policy that creates an ideal environment for businesses of all sizes to prosper in our region. You will be responsible for planning political forums and the Annual Juneau Fly-In, as well as providing guidance and/or research for Chamber Leadership on policy issues of concern to our membership. 

    To be successful in this role, organization, multi-tasking, effective communication and the desire to meet the needs of many internal customers is essential. You also must be work well in a small team environment where we are all depended on to support one other.

    This position requires a minimum of 5 years of prior experience such as legislative staff, advocacy related role, or committee coordinator OR possess a bachelor’s degree in a business, public policy, or political science field.
