11th Annual Samaritan Counseling Center Charity Golf Scramble

18-hole best ball scramble. $100 per player includes green fees, cart, goodie bag, luncheon and prizes. This event helps raise money to provide subsidized counseling for the financially challenged in Fairbanks, North Pole and in Nothern Alaska. Alyeska   Golden Mile Race

Our 1st Avenue branch will be hosting drinks and doughnuts during the AT&T Golden Days Parade, a BBQ afterward, and a catered silent auction that evening to benefit the Fairbanks Rescue Mission. Registration 10am - Race begins at 11am @ Graehl Park Boat Launch at Pioneer Park

This funtastic event is more of a floating-good time combined with a creativity contest that an actual race. Winners are judged on the use of the Handyman's secret weapon (duct tape), imagination, the ability to stay afloat and the integration of the Red Green theme. Winners and other special recognitions will be announced at the Pioneer Park Finish Line. Pick up regisration forms at the Chamber Office or register online at www.kuac.org.

Pedro Monument Re-dedication

@ Pedro Monument on 17 Mile Steese Highway
In 1952, the Pioneers of Alaska mounted the bronze plaque of Felix Pedro, a top of a boulder on "Discovery Claim" 50 years after Pedro's discovery of gold. This annual re-dedication by the Pioneers of Alaska is complete with speeches and a memorable ceremony. This event is open to the public.
