FEATURED SPEAKER/PRESENTER:
As a member, you may apply to be a featured presenter at the GML's.
The focus of your presentation must be informational or educational
to the Fairbanks business community, and clearly illustrate their interests/benefits
in the matter. The spot is 20 minutes long plus an optional 5 more minutes
for Q & A.
To be considered for a 20-minute presenation please download the Speaker-Spotlight
Request Application. The completed application may be submitted
by mail, fax or e-mailed to Michelle@FairbanksChamber.org.
The form is then submitted to the Programs Committee for evaluation,
and scheduling if accepted.
5-MINUTE SPOTLIGHT & 30-SECOND ANNOUNCMENTS:
Members may also request a 5-minute spotlight for presenting information
their business/organiation to chamber members, as well as promoting
new products and /or services. The 5-minute spotlight is used to promote
business and non-events related issues.
For event announcements, or shorter promotional opportunities, members
can request a 30-second announcement. There are three to four of these
available per GML and fill up rather quickly. The applications for requests
spots are the same as for the featured presenter and can be downloaded
here Speaker-Spotlight
Request Application. These applications are accepted and scheduled
at the discretion of Chamber staff.
DOOR PRIZES:
Members may donate prizes to be given away during the Chamber Pot drawings.
Your business' is announced when the door prize is awarded. Please submit
the prizes at least a week in advance of the GML you wish for it to
be presented.
INTRODUCTIONS:
At the start of every GML, members are given the opportunity to introduce
guests. You may introduce a potential new member, a new staff member
a company colleague, or any person important to you.
NEW & RENEWING MEMBERS:
New members and recently renewing members are recognized by announcement
of their name or business name during each GML.
TABLE FLYERS:
As a member of the Chamber, you are able to leave marketing materials,
such as flyers and coupons, on each of the dining tables and the back
table at the GMLs. Items should be placed on the tables prior to the
start of the luncheon (we suggest about ½ hour). Members often
take flyers from the tables when they leave, but don't be discouraged
by leftovers: members also often read the flyers while at their tables
and put the information directly into their day planners rather than
taking the flyer with them. In our experience, about 50 flyers will
provide sufficient coverage of the dining room with another 15 placed
at the back table.
AMBASSADORS COMMITTEE:
For those members who choose to belong to the Ambassadors Committee,
promotion and visibility of yourself and your organization is available
through volunteer positions such as greeters, announcers, chamber pot
facilitators, ticket taker, and ticket sales available at GML. These
volunteer positions are only available to the members of this committee.
If you are interested in becoming a member of this committee, please
email Michelle@FairbanksChamber.org.
